Certified through NYS DOT. Valid forklift license or the ability to pass a written and hands on test for procuring future licensing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following (other duties my be assigned):
Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
Assembles parts by bolting.
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
Cleaning of work areas.
Maintain weld equipment and supplies.
Completing daily time sheets, QC inspection sheets, and any other paperwork required for the area.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Fundamentals of plaIn and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization in English.
