Summary:
Driver truck with capacity of more than 26,000 lbs, at times with trailer of 10,001 lbs or more, to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
All truck drivers are expected and required to help other crew members install guard rail, signs, and related products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following (other duties may be assigned):
Oversees or loads and unloads truck. The driver is responsible for the proper loading of all cargo on the truck and trailer, including securing the load.
Drives truck to project sites. Helps other members of the crew unload and install guard rail, signs, and related products.
Maintains truck log, according to State and Federal regulations.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water as required by company policy and good operating practices.
Performs roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs and other minor maintenance items.
Reports all maintenance items and safety concerns to Foreman or Superintendent.
Maintain truck in a clean condition both inside and outside.
Operates various hand and power tools as required and qualified.
Completes accident reports as required by company policy.
Responsible for following all company safety policies.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instruction by uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, vehicular traffic near work area and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Personal Protective Equipment:
The Truck Driver will be required to wear all safety equipment as mandated by Company Safety Policies.
